It targets individual market development projects outside Quebec for Quebec-based agri-food businesses. Please refer to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/groupexport.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Guide-du-demandeur-SEB-25-26-version-finale.pdf\">Applicant&#8217;s Guide<\/a><\/strong> (French only) for full details. The May 15, 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/1084698258?share=copy\"><strong>webinar<\/strong> <\/a>(French only) is also available on Vimeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The program is officially closed. We recommend you to keep informed for the next reopening.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of this program is to support individual marketing and market development projects in order to increase sales of Quebec agri-food products on markets outside Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These individual projects will enable eligible exporting businesses to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>prepare for and enter a new market;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consolidate and diversify their market presence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of financial assistance is up to $100,000 per year for each applicant. Information on financial assistance for individual projects is provided below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major International Projects (PMI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that for the 2025-2026 edition, the SEB program will not be offering financial support for individual Larger Exporter projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Launch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prequalification period will be open on May wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, companies must be registered with the Quebec Business Registry, have an establishment operating in Quebec, and meet at least one of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>be a company whose main economic activity is food processing;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be an agricultural operation;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a company in the fisheries or commercial aquaculture sector;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a company that subcontracts all its food processing in Quebec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, depending on the targeted export market, the eligible company must meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>For a project targeting Canada (outside Quebec), the eligible company must:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>have achieved a minimum annual revenue of $1 million;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>hold a license from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency under the Safe Food for Canadian Regulations (SFCR);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have been marketing its products on foreign markets for two years or demonstrate that it sells its products on a regular basis in at least one other Canadian province or territory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>For an international project (outside Canada), the eligible company must:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>have achieved a minimum annual revenue of $2 \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Companies that have never exported are not eligible for financial assistance.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>implement marketing and market development activities to develop, consolidate or diversify one or more Canadian (outside Quebec) and international (outside Canada) markets;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>involve eligible expenses of at least $30,000 (minimum assistance of $15,000);<\/li>\n<li>ensure that its products are listed in the R\u00e9pertoire des aliments qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois (RAQ), before making its first request for financial assistance, i.e. within the first six months of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Pre-commercialization projects are not eligible for financial assistance.<\/p>\n          <\/div>\n
