This passion came to him from his father who produced hard candies in the family basement well before that time. After having tried with products such as ''paparmanes'', it was finally towards maple products that the company found its takeoff. Through a multitude of trials and developpments over a long period of time. Mr. Richard succeeded in developing unique processes for producing hard ''poured'' candies, making Bonbon Richard the only company in the world capable of producing candies containing a high composition of maple syrup. These processes also apply to other forms of hard candy, such as candy canes and sugar-free isomalt-based candies.
Exported products
Over time, various products have been developed with customers but we always corne back to the same base, lollipops, maple candies, candy canes and sugar-free candies. As illustrated previously, we have developed products for the throat, namely maple and eucalyptus candies. We also have the same type of products in honey, where several flavors are available such as honey and cherry, honey eucalyptus, honey and butter etc.
